Hi everyone! It's officially 2015! Anyone have their New Year's Resolutions? I know I have a few. 2014 was definitely a life changing year. As such, I'm making a resolution that two thousand fifteen is going to be a fresh start. I'm in that awkward place in life where I find all the freedom and independence I've ever had, without the knowledge to know exactly what to do with it.
So here's my New Year's Resolutions so far.
1. Stay in College. It's going to be easy to not have the motivation to continue as Business Management is more of an essential basic stuff for my end goal of having a horse-based career, but it's really going to help me out in the long run if I stick with it.
2. Be more financially responsible. As a good chunk of people my age, I have less than adequate money handling skills. At this point, it is a skill that I now have to develop out of necessity.
3. Learn to love myself as I am. It's too easy as a right brained extrovert innately to constantly be mad at myself and pick on the things about myself that I don't like without really getting anywhere. But in the grand scheme of things, that tendency hampers me quite a bit, as it disempowers me.
4. Keep Trying on my original dream of becoming a Parelli Professional. The past couple of months I'd given up. There, I said it. My hope was squashed. I wasn't mature enough, talented enough, nor did I have enough money to pursue it. And I still feel that way. But I need to get myself out of that rut and keep going. So that's my fourth resolution.
5. Last, but not least, follow my faith. This past year I've realized that I am a very spiritual person, and I need God in my life. It's past time to pursue my faith whole-heartedly. I don't say this out of judgement to anyone else, as a lot of people seem to get bracey whenever the topic comes up. I just know it's been an immense source of hope and light for me.
Anyone else? Happy New Years!
